Ready to take the next step in your Speech Pathology career? Join a warm, multidisciplinary team in Cairns where you'll enjoy clinical autonomy, professional growth, and genuine work–life balance.

A Paediatric Career with Room to Grow

Little Sparrows Therapy is an owner-operated allied health practice with an 11-year history in Cairns. We help children build skills and confidence, working closely with the families who support them.

We’re welcoming speech pathologists for a January 2027 start, with full-time and part-time opportunities. Whether you’re graduating in 2026, building your experience or considering a senior role, we’d like to hear from you.

Starting Your Career?

You’ll have 1:1 supervision and mentoring with Kimberley Campbell, our co-owner and a speech pathologist with 12 years of general practice and a specialisation in Paediatric Feeding and Dysphagia.

Your induction and initial caseload will reflect your experience and support needs. Mentoring can help you develop your clinical reasoning, plan therapy, write reports and navigate conversations with families. Fortnightly workshops provide further opportunities to learn, with topics chosen by the team.

Bringing Experience?

We welcome Speech Pathologists who want clinical autonomy, opportunities to develop their interests and a voice in how services are delivered.

If mentoring or clinical leadership interests you, we can discuss responsibilities and remuneration as part of your role. Experienced clinicians who want to focus on direct clinical work are equally welcome.

Your Work

You’ll assess and support children with speech, language and communication needs, working with families and educators across clinic, school and community settings.

Depending on your skills and interests, your work may include early language, speech sounds, literacy and AAC. Caseloads will reflect your competence and agreed scope of practice.
