About the Role
Little Sparrows Therapy is a Speech and Occupational Therapy clinic, located in the beautiful tropical city of Cairns, Queensland. We are a tight-knit multidisciplinary team that is looking for another amazing Speech Pathologist to join our team as a Full-Time practitioner with flexible hours offered. Our team thrives on Personal Development and in-House training, hosting our own fortnightly workshops to develop our team. You'll also have access to an extensive assessment and toy library plus access to plenty of AAC technology to assist with the progression of your clients and your career.
The position will provide the right applicant with:
A Diverse Caseload - adults & paediatrics - with a range of different cases allowing the applicant to broaden their skillset
A tight-knit & fun-loving team that is supportive like a family
A wide range of assessments and an oversized toy/resource library for therapy
Your own iPad for use in therapy, in addition to your own computer & a clinic Resource Budget to purchase new resources for the clinic
The chance to work on Innovative therapy programs including social skills groups, Secret Agents Society and literacy workshops
Extended 1 Hour Lunch Breaks to decompress, hang out and enjoy a coffee
1 Hour Minimum - Weekly Supervision & Mentoring from the Senior Speech Pathology team for junior and new graduate clinicians
An annual Professional Development (PD) Budget
Admin team to support you, allowing you to focus on your work
A relocation budget is available for the right applicant who would need to relocate more than 300km's for the position (T&C's apply)
Our ideal candidate will have:
Bachelors Degree or equivalent in Speech Pathology
Membership with SPA (or ability to obtain this)
A driver’s license & access to a car
A current Working with Children - Blue Card (or ability to obtain this)
A current NDIS Workers Screening - Yellow Card (or ability to obtain this)
A passion for making a difference
Great communication skills
Great organisation & time management skills
The ability to work independently as well as in a team
